Organizers: DA-IICT, SAC ISRO, and IEEE ComSoc and Signal Processing Chapters of Gujarat Section
5G is the emerging wireless communication technology billed as a replacement for the current 4G systems. By providing significant improvement
in the energy and spectral efficiencies of communication links, 5G systems are targeted to provide broadband wireless access
in dense urban areas as well as sparsely-populated rural areas, and to serve as backbone of massive machine-to-machine communications
and Internet of Things (IoT). 5G systems are expected to bring in many societal benefits by enabling revolutionary changes to technologies such as autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, augmented reality, mission-critical applications, remotely controlled surgery, tactile internet, disaster management, etc.
